Skopje Summer School 2016

Eligible applicants: graduates, MA students, MA holders and PhD candidates.
Date and venue: 21-28 August 2016, Skopje
Description:
The Foundation Center of Islamic Civilization of Skopje is organizing a summer school called Decolonizing the Balkan Future which will take place in Skopje, Macedonia on 22-28 August 2016, supported by "Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities – YTB”. This program aims to gather students and academics from and outside the Balkans. Days 22-25 August are reserved for lectures and discussions with various topics based on these subjects: contemporary social trends in the Balkans such as cosmopolitanism, nationalism, religious radicalisms and secularism. Days 26-28 are reserved for lectures and workshops about Future Studies: Futures; The three Tomorrows and Postnormal times. Lectures and discussions will be held in the English language.

• Fundamentalism, Radicalism and Terrorism
• The three Tomorrows

Eligibility
All students who are interested in theoretical discussions on philosophical and social problems, contemporary social trends in and outside the Balkans and would like to be trained as foresight practitioner, this summer school is highly recommended.
Costs
School fees, daily meals and accommodationare covered.
